    agree with you Braves

    Seems like they could simplify the rule - advantage is always going to be for the runner in that he can see what is developing while the defensive position is focusing on fielding the hit or thrown ball. It is one thing with the play on the bag or plate (do not block access) but another when the defensive player is trying to field the ball.

    pitching choices

    can someone help me on this? NCSU put in Maynard to pitch in relief on Sun. at the championship game. Not knocking Maynard at all, he's a hard-nosed catcher, DH, & sometimes 1B-man; has a good eye at the plate and a solid bat. However he had pitched only 1 inning this season.
    is our bullpen that bad?
    Also our starting pitcher Lambert in the resumption of the suspended game vs GT had pitched only 6 innings this season. maybe an injury affected that? I don't know.

    hoping the recruiting of pitchers steps up a bit.
