How many schools have access to them, and are they important in your opinion?

The Charlotte area schools have access to indoor facilities---On Deck, HQ4, Copperheads and others, but rarely are they used. Perhaps, during consistent bad weather, they might use one. The mountain folks are in a different situation

North Davidson has had the luxury of indoor facilities for a while now. The school has two gyms and the old gym is fitted with a retractable cage. This was really good for winter/cold weather bp, but also had draw backs. Pitchers could throw and hitters could get some hacks, but it was hard to accomplish much more....plus they had to share time with softball as well. Now, however they've built a 60ft enclosed building behind the left field fence that has an astroturf floor. No scheduling conflicts, good for throwing, hitting and taking ground balls etc. Real nice set up.
