The 17s went 2-0 in Myrtle Beach, with a 4-2 victory over the Bayside Yankees (pitchers Thomas Hovis and Wes Waddell combined for a 2 hitter) and a 16-6 win over the Carolina Reds (Cody Drake got the win, pitching 2 scoreless innings in relief of TJ Worrell). The O's came from behind in both games. Their other two pool games were rained out, as were the playoff rounds, so they were in Myrtle Beach for 4 days and only played 2 games.

The 17s are now 9-1-1 on the summer, with other big wins over the East Cobb Braves 18s, the East Cobb Brewers and the SC Diamond Devils 17s. Their only loss was 9-7 in Charleston to Charleston-based Pro-Level Sports.

The team returns to action for 2 games at UNCC tomorrow and then heads to Atlanta Sunday for next week's Perfect Game Senior Championship.

Any other results for teams from NC that got in games in Myrtle Beach?

Can you enlighten us on Pro Level Sports out of Charleston?

BB9er -- I wish I knew. I never saw any place where results were posted and don't know other teams' results. I do know that the O's 18s lost two close games, won their third, and played the SC Spirit in their 4th. I don't know how that one came out. I don't know much about Pro-Level Sports except that they really hit the ball, they are very big, and they beat the O's 17s (when they were 16s) last summer, too. I missed this year's game, and I don't have any specific info on them. Hopefully someone else can help.

Pro Level Sports is coached by one of the assistant coaches at Charleston Southern. They have a mix of rising seniors, graduated signed seniors and one player who was a red-shirt freshman at Charleston Southern this past season (but is still under 18).

Good size, good team ... pretty much a mix of players. They attract players from across the state of SC and don't restrict themselves to a single locale.
