    So some local's taken on the first day....

    30. Levi Michael Junior(Twins/UNC/North Davidson)

    Levi was the 6th tarheel selected in the 1st round since 2006. The switch-hitting Michael owns a .297 average on the year with 52 runs scored, 48 RBI and a team-high 47 walks on the season. The Welcome, N.C., native has committed just eight errors at his third position in three years after playing at second base as a freshman and at third base as a sophomore.


    34. Brain Goodwin Soph(Nationals/Miami Dade JUCO/UNC/Rocky Mount)

    This former tarheel tore up the juco level this year batting .382 with 8 hrs 37 rbi and 16 stolen bases. He was drafted in the 17th round(523 overall) in 2009 draft by White Sox.
    As a freshman at UNC, Goodwin lead the Tar Heels in RBI with 63, hitting .291 with 13 doubles, 8 triples, 7 homers and a .409 on-base percentage. He has committed to South Carolina for the 2012 season.​



    40. Jackie Bradley Jr (Red Sox/South Carolina/Prince George)​

    Bradley was the 2010 Most Outstanding Player at the College World Series and has hit .336 in his career with the Garnet & Black with 30 career homers and 132 career RBI. Earlier this year, Bradley Jr. became the 24th player in South Carolina history to record 200 or more career hits with a home run vs. Rhode Island. Bradley currently has 214 career hits. Jackie is hitting .259 with 6 hrs 26 rbi in 2011 but has been injured since late april. Bradley hit a team best .368 with 13 hr 60 rbi in 2010. ​


    54. Brett Austin Sr(Padres/Providence High School)​

    Brett is an NC State Commit. He hit .537 with 12 hrs 39 rbi in 2011. He was the 4A Player Of The Year in 2010 hitting .436 with 12 hrs 29 rbi as a Junior. He was a member of the 17u Diamond Devils team that won the 2010 WWBA Jupiter, Florida Championship. Also played for the Dirtbags who won the 18u WWBA Perfect Game Jupiter, Florida Championship.​


    Congrats to all and goodluck in the future! Continue to make North Carolina and South Carolina proud.​
