    D. Rats 2011 go to 3-0

    The CBC Diamond Rats 2011 moved their weekend record to 3-0 with another offensive explosion, winning 14-3 over the Heat 2011. Ethan Garrett (Central Academy) scattered 6 hits over 3 1/3 innings and the Rats coupled 10 hits with 10 walks & HBP to plate 14 runs in 4 innings. Second baseman Chris Onerato (Charlotte Country Day) made a great diving stop of a ground ball in shallow right field and recorded the spectacular out at first.

    2011 D. Rats finish 4-0

    The 2011 Diamond Rats won a well-played and hard fought game vs. the On Deck O's Black 2011 by the final score of 9-7. O's starter Paul Leonard (North Meck) held the Rats to 4 runs (all earned) through 5 innings on 8 hits with 2 K's. Rats' starter William Frazier (Charlotte Country Day) gave up 2 hits with 3 K's through 5 innings yielding 3 runs (2 earned). Taylor Thurber (Lake Norman HS) pitched the last two innings and held tough as the intensity picked up. Second baseman Matt Rembeliak (Bishop McGuiness) made some outstanding defensive plays at critical moments in the game.

    The On Deck O's 2011 Black

    The 2011 On Deck O's Black defeated the Carolina Gators 4-0 behind a two hitter from starter Tyler Powell (Myers Park) Ryan Craft (Cherryville) finished the two innings.

    Alex Morales (Union Academy) was 2-2 with a HR
    Nick McGee (West Meck) 1-2 2 RBI
    Alex Jensen (Charlotte Catholic) 1-1
    Shawn Weber (Jay Robinson) 1-3 2 RBI

    The 2011 Black finished the Weekend 2-2

    2011 On Deck Orange

    The 2011 On Deck O's Orange finished the weekend 3-1 with a 8-7 extra inning victory over the 2011 South Charlotte Panthers. Taylor Rowe (Myers Park) had teh game winning RBI.

    2012 On Deck O's Black

    The 2012 On Deck O's Black went 3-1 This weekend with wins over the Canes South, Gastonia Showcase, and the O's Orange.

    CBC Diamond Rats go 11-0 for the weekend

    The CBC Diamond Rats organization had a terrific showing this weekend, posting an 11-0 record over three days. The 2012 team played three games in the CCProspects showcase while the 2011 and 2010 teams both played 4 games in the On Deck showcase. Highlights for the weekend include Andrew Tomasovich's (2012 Ft. Mill, SC) 7 inning no-hitter against a quality opponent and LJ Newman (2011 Wren HS, Anderson SC) hitting for the cycle on Friday night.
