West Forsyth's Coach Resigns

You're right. There are some good schools in Guilford co. and eventually Page will return to the days of glory. The neighborhoods they get students from have been going through transition, but they will be strong again. I remember back in the 70's and early 80's Page football was the Independence of today.

However like you said, until there is a change at the top, Guilford county schools will continue to fall behind. Just too many school board members who feel that the world is against the black students and that the white kids always get what they want. Who care what color the student is, just spend the money based on need, not color.

 

It seems that Tommy may be getting the O Cord. job at Duke. Just have to wait and see.

 

that would be a better move for him - unless he wants to be a high school coach til he retires.

But I don't think he lasts long at dook - either he gets in one helluva class of skill players and kicks ass a few seasons in a row and moves on or dook stays in the tank and he goes when Roof goes.

1. Coach Morrison is not the OC at West Forsyth. He coached the o-line. Coach Freeman was the OC.
2. Coach Morrison did not apply for the West job.
3. Their is a real fine coach on staff there that could and should get the job. The DC, coach Petree
4. The parents did not make the new coach at North Iredell life's a living hell because they thought coach got a raw deal, it's deeper than that

If you can't see what these parents did, all coming to head with the hatchet job they tried to do, by calling up the Record and Landmark before the Kannopolis game then I guess I can't help you. Hopefully these seniors and their parents will take their "West Forsyth football" T-shirts (that were wore around school) and head to Clemmons next year on Fridays. Look for North to ride a pretty good JV team and some good returners to challenge for the playoffs next year.

Has West named a new football coach yet?

 

Announcement should come this week. Most likely the last round of interviews were held last week. Applicants included a college assistant, hs head coach from Ohio, and another hs head and assistants from NC and local area.
