Anyone have any updates on a couple more 2005 players that we haven't heard about lately???? Like to know how their summer/fall went, if they played football, etc, etc, etc .....

    How about:
    1) Seth Springfield, SS, West Meck
    2) Jacob Wallace, MIF, Shelby
    3) Johnathan Carter, C, Scotland County
    4) Graham Chapman, SS, Middle Creek

I can provide a little insight on two of these players.

Seth Stringfield - West Meck - He took the fall off from showcase ball, but will be back on the field for his senior year, leading the team at West Meck this spring.

Jacob Wallace - Shelby - He played for the Charlotte Megastars again this fall, and had a good showcase season. He was recruited by several schools, but ultimately decided to attend Wingate. We should see him on the Wingate JV baseball team in the near future.

Brandon, how are things going with you this year? Did you have a good fall behind the plate? How does Pinecrest look this year? What team did you play with this past fall?

Pretty good thanks, I played in the GRFBL and did okay.. although i'm not at Pinecrest anymore. I am now at Union Pines High School (3a Tri-county Conf.) Pinecrest lost 6 starters but they have enough depth to carry them this year. should be pretty good.. Union Pines is in the rebuilding process, second year under Coach Carl boykin and should be pretty competitive this year. I'll be posting again now that i found my password. haha.

    Splendid Sophomores

There are a few more '07's in the SW4A that could make a serious impact:

-Shawn Wixted; Butler; C/3B Shawn has a solid bat and has an above-average glove. With plus range and soft hands at 3rd and strong abilities at the plate he could make a big contribution at Butler.

-Kyle Kaiser; Providence; LHP/OF Kyle can play the outfield well and has a solid outfield arm. He hits very well from the left side with good contact and decent power. He could log a lot of innings for Providence this year.

David Mailman; Providence; LHP/OF David can locate his pitches materfully and his offspeed has good movement. He plays the outfield well, with a plus arm and good range. He deposits balls all over the field and makes solid contact.
