It is a down year in NC for High School guys. From what I hear, there are really only about 2-3 guys getting attention right now from Pro guys. Virginia has about 6 getting attention. College is going to be big but will be even bigger next yr with the 2 arms from UNC most likely being taken very early. ECU will also have 1-2 arms, along with one from NC State.

The only thing for certain right now is that there will be surpises come Spring time!!!

Yes Braves...Fernando is fast...and that's at 6-1 and 190 lbs. As far as the differences in the organizations, there haven't been many. I'm glad to be with Tampa Bay at this time. We are treated pretty well by the organization, and we still go after HS players. :)

    SW4A Programs

MLBScout if you are looking for players you might just find a couple in the SW4A. Needless to say South Meck has some solid players, many of which have committed to colleges, but the future looks good for them and they have some young talent. Providence has talent and you can count on those player getting better as they develop through that program, there is a solid Junior class and the Sophmores over there are very talented. Those are the two top programs in that conference and I'd expect to see a lot of good players develop from those schools.

    NW4A PROGRAMS

SOUTH CALDWELL HIGH HAS A LOT OF YOUNG TALENT IN THE JUNIOR AND SOPHOMORE CLASS THIS 2005 SEASON WITH CONSISTENT HEAVY HITTERS. IT IS AN ESTABLISHED PROGRAM IN BASEBALL RICH IN TRADITION AND OUT OF THE LAST 25 YEARS HAS MADE THE STATE PLAYOFFS CONSISTENTLY(22 YEARS OUT OF 25). SCOUTS SEEM TO ONLY GO TO THE BIG CITIES BUT THEY WILL MISS GOOD TALENT IF THEY DON'T AT LEAST CHECK THIS TEAM OUT. THEY WILL MAKE SOME NOISE IN 2005, 2006, AND 2007 FOR SURE. THE TEAM ALSO HAS SOME TOP NOTCH STUDENT/ATHLETES THAT COULD REALLY HELP SOME OF THESE HIGH ACADEMIC SCHOOLS.

ALEXANDER CENTRAL HIGH WILL ALSO MAKE SOME NOISE IN THE NW4A THIS YEAR ALONG WITH POSSIBLY FREEDOM.
