    Did the Davis kid pitch on the senior Legion team for Wayne County in the State Tournament this past summer?

    :xyzthumbs From what I observed from the legion two that will be looked at are two that we played against in legion this past summer Zach Vogler Outfielder Davie High School and Brandon Johnson Pitcher West Forsyth High School. Someone needs to make sure these two are on the watch list thay have the whole package. Has anyone had the pleasure of watching either one play???? :xyzthumbs :xyzthumbs :xyzthumbs :xyzthumbs :xyzthumbs

    All these AAU teams may have some talent. But talent only gets you so far. If none of these players have played together then it is going to take a while for them to gel together as a team. However, if these players have played together then they could be a force to be reckoned with.

    i watched the vogler boy and johnson play in the junior legion state tournamnet at Catawba college and yes these 2 guys have college potential they have been well coached in high school and legion. Also players that caught my eye on that level was the right fielder for Mocksville, Steedley the catcher for Rowan county.The left handed pitcher for Cary and the first baseman for Garner sure do wish i had there names they were really good baseball players.

    NCBBallFan;
    I heard Patrick Sherrill ('06 LH P) at North Mech broke a bone in his throwing hand playing frisbee. I coached Patrick a couple of times in youth league and hated to hear that. To me, I felt he had potential to log a few innings this season and contribute in a big way next season.

    Have you heard anything about him and how he is progressing?

    I had not heard a word about this injury. I saw one of the players from his summer/fall team on sunday and he didn't mention it, even though we were discussing players, so it may not be common knowledge yet.

    Most linear crack injuries that are not displaced in the hand heal very quickly though. They will normally show evidence of calcification at the fracture site within 1 week and be ready to go within 3 weeks. If there is a displacement, it can take a lot more time.
