I received some information on another opportunity coming up. I know a lot of the people in this organization and they are definitely headed in the right direction. It looks like it's a very good value and the timing is right. If you are planning on playing HS ball this spring, you should already be in workouts, so you should be in shape.

    Class Organization

This organization has been on the rise for a few years. They are offering a real opportunity for quality players to be seen by college coaches and scouts. I believe the 16u showcase team finished 5th at the Perfect Game Nationals in Atlanta, in August. Both the 16u and the 18u teams had very successful Fall seasons as well. They offer very structured training guidelines and schedules taught by current and former professional players and scouts. It is one of the most complete packages that I have seen. This is a great opportunity at a reasonable price. :xyzthumbs

I talked with them this week and read all of the info on their web site. They seem very organized. Any other comments from someone who has a son that has played with them?

We haven't played with them, but I do know the coaches. They are in it for the right reasons and are really committed to the players. I wouldn't mind at all if my son played for them, but he's already involved in another program.

Send a message to MVaughn. I think they have had dealings with the organization.

The Copperheads are a good organization and are definately headed in the right directions. With some of the new programs and instruction they have in the 13- 18 programs this organization could be better than any other around.

My younger son's team had the opportunity to play against a couple of the Copperhead teams this past summer and fall.

    Two things stood out IMO.

They were a well coached team with excellent players.
They were a "class" group of folks.

Just my opinion. My guess is that they are going to be a very successful organization and very helpful to the players that participate in their program.

The guys in this organization are in it for the right reasons. They care about guys being seen and getting to the next level and eventually making it to there summer colligiate baseball team. Its not about the money. The Copperheads are non-profit That alone sets the program unlike any other.

    Consistency...

In understand that the Cooperhead organization has taken a big step in standardizing their training. Age groups (ie: 15-18) will all work out together on the field (multiple times). This is suppose to get everyone on the same page defensively. This approach will help build consistancy as players move up.
Every coach has a slightly different approach to the game. This should be great considering that this instruction will be done by current college coaches, High School coaches and former minor league players.
I also heard they are expecting a good size crowd for the Recruiting seminar and scout day. Should be a nice event. With David Darwin involved, it will be first class and informative.

They are expecting over 100 kids on the 5th and for any over that there will be a tryout the following saturday at Webb Field in Concord. This should be the first step in making the program better than anyone else's.
