    Congradulations to coach Gary Comer of Alexander Central High School, he was voted Coach of the Year Region Seven 2004 as his Cougars went 26-2. Good Job Coach! :applause: :applause:

    Call me stupid, but the 2005 season is about to start and they are just now naming last years COTY? I am so confused.

    If you are referrng to the NCBCA Coach of the year awards for the regions, They were announced in December at the NCBCA Convention in Raleigh. If you are referring to another award, well, I can't help you there.

    Coach Comer is well deserving of the award.

    BTW... at the NCBCA Convention, Ed Hall - Wakefield HS (and incidentally the father of UNC-C Asst Brandon Hall) was the Region 3 Coach of the Year.

    You are absolutely correct. We will definitely have our hands full when we go there in early March!! :laugh1:

    It will be a good measure of where we are early on.

    Coach Comer was an assistant of mine in the State games! Great guy ffrom out in the country. Well deserving glad I had the opportunity to work with him and get to know him! :)

    Big "A" in responce to what you asked about a state championship as I remember the game we didn't play our best, which you need to do to win in big games. Also four errors will beat you most nights against good teams. We had several oppertunities with runners in scoring position just could not get that big hit. Even in the last inning, bases loaded one out, good hitter called out on third strike and next batter grounds out. Just not our night. Could coach have done some things different, Sure, may have made a difference may not. I certainly would not agree with everything that was done during the course of the season but then again who does? We all have our own ideas. Team should have went undefeated in regular season though. :thinking:
