    I was waiting to see if someone would reply to your post so I would have a clue into what you are talking about. Since no one has, I figured that I would bite: baseballs, apples, oranges??? I have no idea???

    Apples
    In the past, baseball was the undisputed national pastime. You would hear stuff like,
    " It's as American as baseball and apple pie".

    Oranges
    As the population shifted away from the eastern US, starting with the Dodgers moving out of Ebbets Field to Chavez Ravine, things started to change. Increasingly, the major league talent pool became concentrated in warm weather, orange-producing states;California,Texas and Florida. Today, the talent pool for the major leagues is moving even further south with a large influx of players from places like the Dominican Republic. Oranges represent the globalization of MLB.
