Just curious as to who is out there that knows who from HS or just bein familar with some people that are makin' their money doin what we all love.

Mickey Hall -- Played little league ball with him and played against him in high school before he moved to Georgia. He is now in the Red Sox system. Played for Augusta last year, I believe. From Raleigh--now GA.

Josh Hamilton -- We all know him I think. But, my father coached Josh's older brother in legion ball so I've known Josh and his family for awhile. Sadly, he's had those off-field issues. I think he's got it turned around now. I haven't personally spoken to him in awhile, but a friend of mine has and she told me he is doing very well now since he got married. Carl Crawford called him the "best player" he had ever seen in person. From Raleigh/Garner

Brad Nelson -- Played a year of high school ball with him when he was a senior and I was a freshman. He pitched for the Rome Braves last year. He hopes to be in Myrtle Beach this season. From Cary.

Landon Powell -- Known him for a long time as well as his father who coached me for a few years. Playing in the A's system right now. Was in Vancouver last year. Saw a blurb about him on another website that said he has injured his ankle and will miss camp. Hope he gets well soon. From Apex/Cary.

David Hicks -- Blue Jayes system. Played for... .. I can't remember right now. This will be his 2nd year. Played legion ball in Garner and played at Broughton HS. Had a very good career at NC State.

Paul Stewart -- Brewers/Devil Rays  system. Been with a few different orginazations. Saw a good amount of time in Triple A last year. He's startin' to get up there... hope he is still with it. Could get bumped up to the show some this season. From Garner.

Hmmm... those are the one's off the top of my head.

Just a note. Even though you have players in the minor leagues they are still professionals.

    Commercial break... PROCEED
