Dont get me wrong here, Amy Huntley is an AMAZING pitcher, but shes not going to be the only reason A.C. Reynolds is going to have a winning season this year...example: our only senior this year 'Dana Burton is awesome power at the plate and at 3rd base. were going to have a couple good juniors but the majority of the team should be great sophmores with lots of talent. Not to metion this years coaching staff is going to be off the hook!

I didn't mention Amy to slight anybody else on the Reynolds team as I have coached Dana for 3 years now. Nor is any one player the whole team. It is a team sport. I have mentioned Dana on TBR many times. So, I am a little confused if I recognize another player from the mountains or from Reynolds and somebody try to take anything away from that. Be happy that people take notice and take the time to acknowledge them openly. I am sure that your days of recognition are soon upon us. :xyzthumbs

I didnt mean to come off arogant by any means, but attending a school that the administators only notice the football and basketball programs does not help one bit. I mean last year our softball program had a good winning season, we went undefeated in the nw4a conference tournament, we gave 2003's(2004) 4a State Champions (Central Cabarrus) a run for their money during play offs and noone seemed to care, Which is amazing since here at A.C. Reynolds our softball program is the most winningest sport, not just last year or the year before that but in all of ACR's years.

rocketsftbll4; I know what you mean. I see and hear that alot. Luckily here at South Caldwell we really don't see it as bad as others. The school, booster club and one of the coaches have put alot into our program. We have also had some good parental help in the past. As with you at Reynolds baseball and softball are our most successful programs and I see that continuing this year. As for the nw4a season out look I will have to go on what I have been told by one of the coaches. He says Reynolds, AC and SC will once again battle for the conference title. All three will have very good pitching but we don't know alot about the rest for AC and Reynolds. Also he stated this should be the best offensive team we have ever had. Hope he's right. All in all I look for a very competitive year this year. I know nothing about the rest of the conf. so if anyone has any info put it up so we can throw it around here. Good luck to all.

    Butler HS

I think Butler has the potential to be very good. Will have two potential all-conference pitchers, Emily Jeffrey and Ashton Ward who will also play SS another all-conference infielder, Sarah Rappe and quite possibly an all-conference outfielder in Jessi Polk and an all-conference catcher Mandy Ward. Some of the JV's from last year will need to step it up and I think they will. Same coaching staff which is always helpful with continuing a successful program. Hope to see the Bulldogs several times this spring.
Waddell and Providence will probably content for second as Myers Park loss several starters and Meredith. Leigh Ann Kelly will be a player to watch as MP. Providence has several returnees.

CF,1 school that seems to somehow get overlooked in the 3a is JM Robinson in Concord. That team is loaded,& has an assistant there this year that knows his ball.I don't think they didn't even lose anyone from last year.I will make an early prediction, that Robinson will take it all this year in 3a.1 more thing,CC will have their hands full with this bunch, could there be an upset here? The battle of Cabarrus County will be a game to watch!
