Elon got on the board early and often against Delaware State. The final was 10-0 in favor of Elon with Grant Rembert clearing the fences again. Cole picked up his 2nd win in the young season as the Elon pitchers combined on a 4 hitter.

That's great news ... It puts the UVa team in the hole overall 0-1.

    Great win by the Seahawks.

Campbell took one from NC State today, winning convincingly 9-1.

It's a great start for Campbell. State seems to have struggled in it's last two games now. They should be able to straighten things out before conference play begins.

This was the season opener for Campbell .... NC State falls to 3-1 overall.

Winthrop made it 3 in a row with a convincing victory over Maryland. Maryland has some outstanding players, but there are too few of them to be competitive this season. They are probably more on a par with Duke and Wake Forest. Winthrop came away with an 8-0 win.

Elon continued their winning ways, improving their record to 5-0 with an 8-0 blanking of Delaware State. Matt McSwain picked up the win with Patrick Adams (2 innings) and Kory Radford (1 inning) in relief.

The Charlotte 49ers openned strong with a 9-4 win over The Citadel. Charlotte belted out 4 homers in the contest to aid soph starter Adam Mills in the season opener. Homers were hit by: Corey Lane (Grand Slam), Kris Rochelle, Adam Willard and Mike Ambrose. Charlotte is 1-0 now while The Citadel falls to 0-1.
