Just got the answer to my own question. Newspaper said it was a cracked bone in his ankle, hope it is nothing too serious.

    Here's what I had found...

Good news/bad news..... First the Bad.

    1. Drew is so good that even missing one week will have a major impact on West Cartaret. They may loose a scrimmage game, or even a non-conf game!
    2. Sprains take a bit to heal ... sometimes a bit longer than minor breaks. If a break was there and it didn't show up on one X-Ray, then it's probably (nothing definite in medicine ... location is everything, just like sales) minor. 3. Drew was a sub 7.0 runner last summer and pumping it in off the mound in the high 80's. Of course your going to miss him!!

    Now the Good.
    1. This kid's a competitor and in great condition. With one bad ankle and one good one he'll beat most people out by miles.
    2. He would have probably missed the first week/(s) due to playing basketball anyway ... he'll heal on THEIR time, not baseballs.
    3. His teammates will miss him, but extra reps never hurt anyone.
    4. 99 44/100ths percent sure that he's going to be up to speed a lot quicker than his opponents want him to be.

Drew .... look luck this season. You're not the only injured guy I'm following and routing for. I expect to hear great things this season. :xyzthumbs

Braves ... you know I route the best ones up to North Meck ....

Nothing like home cooking . ... now if you post more, maybe you can route some to South Meck.
