This is the young man, junior pitcher for Olympic High School, who was shot in the head in a senseless tragedy where he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Brandon's chances for survival was less than 10% - and there was little reason to expect a "normal" recovery.

Well, to keep us all informed of his update, Brandon came home yesterday to a cheering crowd.....just like he won the State Championship. I am so happy for his family. They are terrific people that endured the most horrific circumstance...but never gave up hope. I believe in the power of prayer....and Brandon received a boatload.

He is able to do everything...walk, talk, laugh and show all his emotions. What is even more amazing is he will return to school next week for two hours daily....this is just incredible!!!!!

For those who don't know Brandon, he is a very talented pitcher, but more importantly he is an equally talented kid....humble, respectful, a love for his family and loved by his peers.

I wish everyone would continue your prayers for Brandon in hope of another miracle....that he can get back on the diamond this year(Fall). This is a goal of his and one I don't doubt he will achieve..... he already beat greater odds

What an amazingly inspirational story.......all that it needs is for him to get his wish and return to the diamond.

I'd like to take this opportunity to offer my best wishes and support to Brandon as he begins that quest. Good luck.

You WILL see Brandon "on the hill" this year!! Olympic scrimmaged Hunter Huss yesterday at HH and Brandon pitched two innings. Did really well...only threw 33 pitches. That's good for the beginning of the season. His velocity isn't the same BUT he hit his spots even striking a guy out. All the varsity parents in attendance were extremely proud of Brandon and his effort.
Brandon truly is a miracle and we're soooo happy to have him back!!  :laugh1: :laugh1: :xyzthumbs :xyzthumbs

    Good Luck Brandon

:applause: I had the pleasure of working a little with Brandon because his cousin Jordan Hewlitt was on my team and he often came down to our workouts. He is an amazing young man with a heart and love for the game of baseball that was big enough for him to overcome the trajedy that befell him. I wish him continued success in his baseball career. Good Luck.
