Louisburg had a rough weekend down at Chipola losing all 4 games. We left our bats in Louisburg only scoring 8 runs in 36 innings played. I think the scores were: 6-3 L to Chipola, 7-0 L to Central Alabama (3-0 going into the 9th before a 9th inning GS to make it 7-0), 8-4 L to Chipola, 5-1 L to Young Harris. Every game had a moment where it could have possibly swung Louisburg's way if we had gotten a clutch hit and never got that hit the whole weekend. Good learning experience and I hope it makes the team even hungrier going into next weekend's 4 game series with Salem. Record is currently 3-4.

BTW, Chipola has some facilities that would make some D1 North Carolina schools blush. Awesome facilities!!!

Had a blast down there as well. If you ever get a chance, make sure you go to Captain Anderson's restaurant in Panama City. I've eaten at Hyman's in Charleston (loved it) and honestly, Hyman's has nothing on Captain Anderson's. Best seafood I have ever had (there is a reason Southern Living ranked it as one of the top 50 restaurants in the country!).

    hey wolfpac....

Do you know if Steven Newton got any PT for Young Harris when ya'll played them? Newt is a catcher/3B from Green Hope HS, he's now a FR at YH.

Sounds like a tough weekend for yall.. pretty good competition though. When do ya'll play Surry this year?

Georgia beat Mercer in 11 innings tonight 3-1 on a walkoff homerun by Jason Jacobs. We looked very bad at the plate, but our pitching looked great. Mitchell Boggs gets the win in relief

Georgia is going to be fine .... They will have their hands full with USC, but those two look to be the cream of a strong eastern section of the SEC.

LSU is ridiculous. How do you get that many athletes on one team???

JM, really not sure about Newton, I didn't catch his name but then, I wasn't really listening for it either. Sorry.

Louisburg plays Surry the weekend of 4-2/4-3.
