    North Meck 4 Butler 2

After Sam Pierce threw 5 strong innings, he was relieved by David McAuley. Mike Cavasini is a joy to watch, his agressive baserunning and the threat thereof, give defenses fits and cause many miscues. Unlike the erratic umpiring at the South Meck game (and if the AD told the Umps the game was cancelled as i am hearing on this board, the umpires cant be held responsible, because they too must be mentally ready for the game) I thought the umpires at the North/Butler game were outstanding. Nice job Blues...

As posted earlier... Cary beat Leesville 9-3 in Cary's Home Opener. Cole Phillips hit a HR for the Imps.

Today, Cary travels to Wakefield. I wish I could make it out there but I have some things to do. It should be a good one. Cary is sending Philip Townsend to the mound (tall lefty). Townsend is a transfer from Cardinal Gibbons who is very talented. I assume Dowdy and/or Quate will take the mound for Wakefield if it is their opener.

BTW, if you're in Raleigh area ever, check out Cary's home uniforms one night. They are wearing throwbacks from the 1907 season for every home game, this is the 100th year of CHS Baseball.

    Most likely PMT.

Townsend vs Dowdy is gonna be a good one. Townsend didn't get much hype because he played for Cardinal Gibbons the last three years... you will hear his name plenty this year in the Tri-7.

    When is GH's next game?

    North Meck vs Butler

Congrats to Zack Pau for getting off to such a great start for the North Meck Vikings. He had two doubles against South Meck and drove in the winning run against Butler in the last of the seventh. Way to go ZACK!!! :trophy:

This sent chills down my spine reading this. To think it seemed like yesterday, Brandon was in a coma with a 5% chance to survive...incredible and a miracle!!!!!!

Good luck to Greg on Friday. I'll be rooting for him and the Trojans!!!!!
