    Glenn Game

I wont be attending the game Monday night but I do think it will be a good one. The score should be a lot closer than they have the past two years. Gleen should come out on top if their egos dont get in the way but dont count the Mustangs out they have grown some but still need some pitching to carry them through the game.

    Watauga vs South Meck

Sheesh.....Watauga may be young, but they will battle you. Holder, Hardee & co. are going to give teams fits this year. They are fundamentally strong and tough as nails. These guys will never give up. There was one player I wish I could remember his name. He may have been short in stature but he was big with his stick! I enjoyed meeting the folks from Watauga...you guys/gals are great!

Morris, Rubenstein, Austin and Daniel went yard for SM as they won this game.

    Charlotte Christian vs. Cardinal Gibbons

    game 1
Char. Christian 1; Cardinal Gibbons 2

Gibbons edged Christian in the 1st game, some sidearm LHP for gibbons threw an absolute gem and made the knights look bad the entire game, some defensive lapses by christian gave gibbons a 2-1 lead and the knights couldn't touch the opposing pitcher, i wish i knew his name. congrads on gibbons for a big win

    game 2
Char. Christian 12; Cardinal Gibbons 0

gibbons had a guy that signed with UNC-G on the hill but the knights made up their minds before this game even started. They plated 5 runs in the 1st and hit the ball well and never looked back. Bard went 3-3 at the plate and there was a number of guys who had hits for christian as well. Chris Whitley got the winffor the knights and pitched well.

Christian will host Ashbrook tuesday night at 7

South Caldwell 3 and 0 to start the season with wins this week over Wilkes Central, West Caldwell and Hibriten. Deep pitching staff this year with two big horses in Gragg and Bumgarner.

Also a very impressive jv team maybe the best they have ever had. They have won their first two games over WC and Hibriten by the mercy rule. Everyone played in both games. Todays jv score was SC 28 - Hibriten 0.
