    Parkland @ Glenn

    Glenn: 6
    Parkland: 0

Parkland came out pumped and you could feel it in the air. Cory Snyder (Jr.) started on the mound for the Mustangs and Derek Koone (Jr.) started for the Bobcats. This was the first game in Piedmont-Triad 3A play for both teams. The game was 0-0 with 2 outs in the bottom of the 3rd and before the Mustangs could get that crucial out #3, the Bobcats put up 6 runs on 5 hits. Derek Koone broke the game open with a 2 RBI single to make it 6-0. Parkland got it's only hit when Chris "Bubba" Donathan (Sr.) poked one over the second baseman's head.

    Glenn: 1-0
    Parkland: 0-3

I don't have alot of stats on the game ( and I'm sure there were errors just didn't record them) - with it being my first game of the season I spent most of it talking doing the meet and greet instead of keeping stats. That plus trying to stay warm :brr:

I know Kensmoe had a two run single and so did JP Polchinksi. Jake pitched 6 strong innings - gave up a run on a first inning single and a solo homer in the fifth. Got some good fielding which kept SWG from scoring more runs.

I believe Ben Vestal had three hits for Ragsdale and covered alot of ground in centerfield.

Ragsdale is now 2-1 on the season.

Independence looked very well swinging the bats tonight tallying up 14 hits in 7 innings. There was about 4 or 5 players with at least 2 hits. Should be a good one tomorrow when Indy takes on Providence @ Providence @ 4:30.

I heard South Meck won 10-5 in 8 innings. I heard Hopewell got screwed on a call in the bottom of the 7th, can anyone explain what happened and give details about the game.

East leadoff Brett Walker scored the games first run after singling, but it would be the only run ER scored. SO. Kevin Pagnetti's single gave RS a 2-1 lead in the 4th, and Brad Cummings 2B after two ER errors gave the Hilltoppers the final 4-1 margin.

Leading Hitters : RS - Kevin Pagnetti 2-3, rbi Brad Cummings 1-3, 2B, RBI
    ER - Kyle Campfield 2-3, B. Walker, M. Melton, T. Smith, Z.

    ER - Blake Bostic 6 IP, 7 H, 1 ER, 5 K, 0 BB LOSS (2-1)

    WP Brian Redmond
    LP Seth Stringfield

Brandon Hill started for Olympic but left after 1 2/3 innings due to an injury to his pitching hand. Leading hitters for Olympic were Clay Smith 2-3 3RBIs, Matt Podraza 2-3 and Greg Conrad 1-3 2RBIs.
Leading hitter for West Meck was Seth Stringfield who was 2-4 with 2 RBIs.
I must say that it wasn't a pretty game....several errors on both sides. But, the West Meck team came to play. Good luck to them for the remainder of their season!!
