I agree that West Henderson has an outstanding program and has been one of the most consistent over the years. They are off to a great start again and have a 7-1 record with a very young team.

My comment about TC Roberson and East Rutherford was based more on their success in the playoffs with three state championships each.

Depends on what time you rank those legion teams. Back when i played concord was very strong. But those other programs definately are strong. Concord has went down hill.

Most definately Concord was very strong in the mid 80's and early 90's alot of great players from that area back then. Don't know what has happened now but would love to see them back on the map.You can also question Kernersville they were very strong in that time frame also.

We were strong up until about 2000, then we graduated alot of kids that went on to play college ball. 97-2000 had some good runs but would usually run into Rowan and would go seven games and get beat.

    Baseball Powerhouses

South Caldwell should certainly be on this list. South Caldwell has been to the NC State Play-offs for 20 consecutive seasons. I doubt many schools can make that statement. The school has been in existence for 26 years and the baseball teams have consistently been in the play-offs for at least 22 of those years and won a state championship in 1982. They are packed with power for the 2005, 2006, and 2007 season at least, to hopefully continue the tradition. We are hoping for a state championship at least one of those years.

i think we have to include charlotte christian on this list, theyve been one of the states top teams for a long time now and continue to earn respect every year. theyve won 4 out of the last 5 state championships and 3 in a row. coach simmons has done an outstanding job making christian a powerhouse and little by little is getting national recognition which includes winning national coach of the year 2 years ago and beating very good teams year in and year out.

You are exactly right, D07, and you can add to the list of accomplishments a very important one: preparing and sending kids on to play in quality college programs. Coach Simmonns has done that as well as anyone in the state.
