    Was up Boone way today and saw the Watauga AC game.

    AC Reynolds 6
    Watauga 5

    Great game. Watauga had chances and hit the ball hard. Not sure who #14 for AC is. She got injured. Fouled a ball off and looked like it hit her face. I hope she is ok. I'll be praying for you. Watauga really hit the ball. A costly error helped AC as did a nice homerun. Great game to watch and great sportsmanship at the end of the varsity and JV games as both teams and watauga coaches gathered at the pitcher's mound. Nice job ladies. THat is what it is all about.

    Stayed for the JV game too. Another good game. Both teams played hard and with great sportsmanship. Class acts both to them.

    AC Reynolds 2

    Pitcher for Watauga pitched a nice game and also hit a homerun. ANyone know what year she is???

    number 14 is amy huntley i believe if any one knows how she is let us know also who hit the home run. must have been a great game i hate i missed it.

    I sure hope Amy is ok. I have tried to call her dad this morning but I have not heard back from him yet. Our thoughts and prayers are with her.

    I just spoke with Amy's dad and she is fine. Just a little banged up but still ready to play ball. I think her dad is going to go ahead and get her a face mask for her helmet since it is required for this summer in traveling ball and in high school next year.

    Great game yesterday at Watauga. I know there's been a lot of discussion about the pros and cons of the face mask rule, but yesterday was a perfect example of why the rule needs to be in place. An inside pitch and the ball was swung at, Amy hit underneath the ball and it went directly into her face. Scary incident with a lot of blood, but thank goodness everything is ok today. I was afraid she had broken her nose, but I'm glad to hear she didn't. Everyone with Watauga Softball was praying for her last night. Great sportsmanship by ACR to invite the Watauga players and Coaches into the prayer after the game.

    I'm glad Amy is ok- she threw the ball great against us on Wednesday.


    1st- Alexander Central 3-0
    2nd-AC Reynolds 3-1
    3rd-Freedom 2-1
    4th-South Caldwell 2-1
    5th-Watauga 1-3
    6th-East Burke 1-3
    7th-McDowell 0-3?

    I think this is right- someone correct me if I'm wrong
