Hey Dbacks, to be absolutely accurate, Myers Park is 1-1-1 (because of the Independence tie) but I know it's hard to record a tie in baseball. :smooch: (closest smilie I could find to kissin your sister)

    Meca 8 Conference Standings ....

Not everyone posts, so this is next to impossible. Here is my best guess about the top spots in conference.

    North Meck/Central Cabarrus, 4-0
    Independence 3-1
    Hopewell 2-2

The remaining 4 teams are 3-13 in conference play right now. I do not know the non-conference records of the teams.

North still has to face Central head-to-head in 2 weeks.
Indy has games with Hopewell/Central Cabarrus next week.

After the next 3 regular season games, everyone should have faced each other at least once and we'll have a better idea.

From Reports: Ryan Laboy is tearing the cover off the ball. MATT KILLIAN from Central Cabarrus is pitching great. They have a solid defense and have always hit well. Central is coming off a 10-0 win over JM Robinson in the Intimidator Classic.

Vance is 1-3 in the conference. Win over Harding, losses to North Meck, Central Cabarrus, and Hopewell.

For good news, it was great to see Ryan Kirkman back on the field the week before spring break. For those who know Ryan's story, it has been a long process to get back to the baseball field after a great year last year.

For bad news, starting SS Aaron Peacock broke his hand in the Hopewell game and is out at least 4 weeks.
