NW Cabarrus wins 3rd Annual Intimidator Classic

No "Cardiac-Finish" to this one. A pitching duel between Robby Gurley and Providence's starting pitcher, Mitch Besselievre, was broken up when the Trojans scored 5 runs in the bottom of the fourth to go up 5-1 (I'm not sure how many runs were earned, Providence made a costly 2-run fielding error that extended the inning) NW scored another insurance run in the 5th for a 6-1 lead. Gurley struck out the side in the 4th and 5th innings before he had to leave in the 6th due to back spasms. Justin Wallace, whose off-speed pitches seem to perfectly compliment Gurley's fastballs, pitched the final 1.1 innings.

Tournament MVP: All-American Kyle Seager, of course. Kyle had 2 RBIs in tonight's win for a total of 9 RBIs for the tournament. :applause:
