2A poll is out

North Lenoir at #1 is dead on. The only surprise to me is that West Stanly is so low. The way they have been playing (ie... vs Mt. Pleasant and Butler) they should be around 2 or 3. Over all it looks pretty good.

 

Good point Coach, I agree. Haven't seen some of the other teams but I know West Stanly is tough ! So is your team ! We're happy MP got the HM recognition this 1st poll.

 

Thanks guys...but not sure we are deserving of a 2 or 3. Just glad to be in the poll. We are very up and down...we would do a lot better if we played more consistently. We have played several 3A/4A schools and taken some tough losses, but hopefully that will help down the road at play off time. We just got Chelsea Morton back this week, so hopefully she will help us defensively and she also swings a big stick. She will slowly be able to work back into pitching and hopefully by the end of the month, she can throw a whole game. We have 4 losses, but 3 of them have came from Butler, Providence and Parkwood, all of which are very good teams. Our other loss came to in conference rival North Stanly. We are playing better and hopefully the wins will keep coming.

No question the Colts will be there at the end. You have always had a great program and stiil do. Losing two impact players like you did would tank most teams. But the sprit and ability of your girls and coaches shine bright when things looked dim. I always look forward to our games with your Colts.
Im sorry I could not stay for the Varsity game after coaching my JV but from what I hear and read was a heck of a game.

 

What are the conference standings as of today? It must be a mess with MP, WS, Catholic, and now North Stanly in the chase.

 

Probably need to add Forest Hills also. Going to be tough to make the playoffs with only 2 spots open for the RRC.

MP has two losses in conference to WS and C. Catholic. Big game with N. Stanly this Friday night at MP

West Stanly is 3-1 in conference. I think North Stanly only has one conference loss coming from Forest Hills. It will definately be a battle in the Rocky River 2A.

 

That was an easy prediction. 6 of our last 9 games against each other have had bonus softball.
