West Forsyth plays at N Davidson Friday evening. I was at the WF vs. Davie Co. game last Tuesday and was really impressed with both teams. Our DC War Eagles lost to West, but it was a great game. West is loaded with a great pitcher, strong bats, and an excellent defense, but DC is strong as well and played West to a 2-1 game.

The game this Friday between West Forsyth and n davidson is a CPC conference game and should be a great one to watch. Two of the top teams in the 4A shouldn't have to play each other until the playoffs, but the CPC conference is one of the toughest in the state this year and you got to play your conference games no matter who they are.

Homer3, There will be another outstanding game in the CPC Friday night at Rich Park. The DC War Eagles will be hosting a really good South Rowan team. Don't count either one of them out yet.

Yes sir you are so right. I can't decide which game to go to. I think both DC and SR have one conference loss, so whoever loses that game could be in a jam. I know it will be a good one but I think we will pull it out. If DC's pitcher is on like she was against West Fosyth, then we should be OK.

It is always fun going to watch the WF, ND games. Sometimes watching the fans is better than the game. A lot of the ND fans can be very rude and always find a way to make the WF people mad. This is true and funny...the ND fans always set thier chairs up all the way around the backstop the night before or early on game day. They will have chairs 2 -3 rows deep with reserved signs, blankets and stuff in them. Many times they are even covered with a tarp. They dare to WF people to touch their chairs. I sat in the left field bleachers at last years game when WF beat ND to go to Raleigh, and the ND fans were yelling some very ugly things at the WF left fielder during the game and had her in tears. That is not called for and looked bad for all of ND.

As much as a heated rivalry this game is, the players and coaches seem to respect each other and get along fine. It's the fans (on both sides) that can be stupid.

You're right coach. That game was an 11 inning classic.

My question now is how in the world did Davie lose to North Forsyth on Wed. after DC out hit NF and NF committed 3 more errors than DC? We play S. Rowan tonight at Rich Park and can't lose that one or we could be in a deep hole in the conference.

Often times one event can gauge the outcome of the game...such as Davie's lead off batter, top of the 1st with a triple....AND DID NOT SCORE....as a matter of fact was thrown out in a double play on a bunt (o outs) by batter #2. A fly ball to the outfield, a base hit or a past ball would have scored Davie 1 run rather than 2 outs.
