This is NOT a joke. North Iredell is a whole lot better than people think.

North Iredell played a great game. Ryan Query pitched very well for the Wonders, but NI took advantage of their hits and the two NI pitchers (#17 Johnson and #3 Padgett) kept the Wonders off balance all night long.

They got one of those Poole boys from Rowan Co.(I forget which one) to come in a take over the baseball team up there. It just goes to show you that good coaching/game management can make a great deal of difference in the game of baseball. Those kids did'nt win but a few games all of last season.

    ............I need a BC powder.

    Western Alamance 5 (10 innings)

    Heartbreaker: Jason Rook 8IP,18K, 2H, 0BB, 0ER, 3R
    Ryan Stell 2IP, 2K, 3H, 0BB, 0ER, 2R

Errors cost the Hornets this game (8 total)

The most dominating pitching performance you've ever seen by Rook!!!
Even with all the errors, he maintained his composure and never looked back,
willing his team to win. It just didn't come together for the Hornets! Tough loss.

    3-6 overall 0-1 conf

losses to SW Randolph, Asheboro, Eastern Randolph, Southern Alamance, Ragsdale, and Western Alamance. Wins over SW Randolph and NW Guilford twice.Had only played 4 games prior to Easter week.

    Rook - (1-1) 30IP, 54K's, 3BB, 4ER .93 ERA
Win SW Randolph Loss Southern Alamance
Stell 1-2 Win NW Guilford, Loss SW Randolph, Western Alamance
Gleiter 1-2 Win NW Guilford, Loss Asheboro and Ragsdale
    Parsells 0-1 Loss Eastern Randolph

Team is young, will come around. Errors are killing them. Could have easily had 5 more wins without errors.
