Myers Park JV 4 - South Meck JV 3

Good JV game partially played in the rain. Three errors by South Meck probably due to the wet field. Pitching on both sides was very solid. I think each team only had 5 hits each. Garrett Maxson for South Meck was impressive at the plate with his bat. For the winning Myers Park team, Dennis Elliott had a double, triple, 3 RBI's & 1 run scored (great night with the bat), Nate Cudney chipped in with a double, walk & solid defensive plays at 1B, and Ian Sidebottom had a single & 1 run scored. Myers Park used 3 pitchers to get the job done: Tom Girdwood, Nate Cudney & Chip Gaul.

I spoke with Coach Demming before this game and he is salivating waiting for this group of kids to move up to Varsity. He loves their talent, but is even more impressed with their attitude.

SC has not mercy ruled every team!

SC didn't beat Watauga's JV's by the mercy rule as you can see by the score below.............

    South Caldwell-9
    Watauga-0

I think the JV Trojans have only lost one game ......a close one to Davie County.........who has also only lost one game.

The big hitters for this team are Soph. Andrew Lawing and Fr. Ryan Lazenby. A couple of outstanding pitchers are Soph. Drew Finney and Fr.Daniel Welch.
