    Notes on this year's competition:

    SITES: N.C. State University & Cary Academy

    DATES: Wednesday, June 15-Sunday, June 19

    Notes: Two separate tournaments.

    1. A high school senior East-West series (Graduated seniors only).

    2. An eight-team underclassmen (rising juniors and seniors) tournament.

    The graduated seniors will play a two-game series on Wednesday, June 15. The underclassmen tournament is a four-game, round-robin competition that will be held June 16-19. Scout workouts will be held Wednesday, June 15 for each underclassmen team.

    SIXTY TIMES/ 3 RUNNERS AT A TIME
    6 BP PITCHES
    PITCHERS THREW IN BULLPEN/ IF THEY COULD (FRI GAMES OR GAME FOR TODAY OR TUES.)

    How many pitchers. Which ones stood out??? What was the ratio of rising seniors to rising juniors or was it equal???

    The Junior state games teams are dominated by rising seniors. In the past, they have tried to limit the teams to a max of 2 rising juniors, but I don't believe that they will try to continue that.

    This is a BIG event for rising seniors. Potentially half of the rising seniors that attend this event will be signed before the end of this coming November.

    For the graduating seniors, it's a last hurrah. A lot of signed seniors will forgo this event, in order to allow some of the unsigned graduates a chance to "strut their stuff" in front of a great college coaching crowd.
