    Braves...

    Im 61 years old and have been a part of the Major League Scouting Bureau for 12 years. I have a lot of college contacts and like watching high school kids play the game.

    have you heard of john mcdaniel (11), whit merrifield (10), tom kuell (10), or zach vogler (11) from Davie County?

    Davie is not a very well scouted team, and they are very underated with the talent they have.

    just wondering if you knew any of these high potential players.

    Butler HS senior closer Daniel Whitten (24). Whitten is a strong RHP that will hit high 80's. A couple of months ago the coach dropped him down to side-arm. Talk about intimidation!! Daniel is 6'4, around 230 lbs. This kid needs some exposure and deserves some looks!!

    I have definetly heard about and seen these players this year. I have been to 2 Davie games. McDaniel has good stuff and Vogler can flat out swing the stick. Merrifield will be a player a player that is every coaches dream if he keeps working hard and improves his strength this summer.

    Anyone out there going to the Glenn @ Parkland match-up tonight? Derek Koone (Jr.) pitched last night for Glenn at Rockingham through 6. Parkland started a right-hander last time these teams met but I heard Jon Helsabeck (Jr.) pitched Tuesday for Parkland against SWG. Anyone know who the starters are tonight. I cant wait to see this one for one reason: TALENT

    Have you ever seen Brandon Johnson?? We have played them twice this year but Brandon did not pitch either time have not seen him since this past summer in legion he was very impressive then. You are right about Vogler the boy can hit.

    Davie county is scouted on a regular basis I cover several areas and Davie county, Rowan, Forsyth, Iredelle , Cabarus Alexander counties are scouted very heavy dc baseball don't worry Davie is scouted. Some players that are on the watch list Zack Vogler, Brandon Stewart, Whit Merrifield, Also Brandon Johnson from West Forsyth was very impressive for Mocksville Jr legion last summer We will know more about alot of these guys when the legion season cranks up.
