    East Forsyth vs NW Guilford

This was a great game that went back-and-forth for 9 innings with lots of drama. The "Launching Pad" lived up to it's name as 5 hits cleared the fence for HRs. Congrats to EF on the win. With wins over both North Forsyth and NWG this week, EF has made the Metro conference race a bit more interesting. Both NWG and NF sit at 4-2, while EF improves to 3-3.

With the game tied at 6-6, NWG had a bases loaded / 1-out opportunity in the bottom of the 7th, but couldn't get the winning run in. After a scoreless 8th, EF scored 5 in the 9th including a grand-slam by Lawson to take an 11-6 lead. NWG rallied back to score 3 in the bottom of the 9th on a 2RBI single by Durham and a 2B by Garrett. With a runner at 3rd and the potential tying run at 2nd, the EF pitcher was able to get a ground ball out to preserve the victory.

    Lumberton Sweeps Swett

Lumberton finished off a suspended game 12-8 and then pounded Swett 12-2 in six in the regular game. Sixteen Pirate hits. If this team keeps hitting like that they will be very hard to beat come playoff time. The pitching and defense has beent there all year. Lumberton now 17-1.
