Cavasinni sets new State Record

    Michael Cavasinni completed his march towards the state record, swiping his 107 base of his career tonight, topping the old state record of 106 in a career.

    What a great night for the Cavasinni family and the north meck baseball program. It could have came against a better team (West Charlotte) and in a better game (26-0), but the fact that 107 stolen bases in a career is amazing. Still one more game to go against Central Cabarrus at North to add the record. Great Job Cavi.:229031_ha :trophy:

    (lets hope the younger Cavasinni can carry on that tradition for the North program)

    Congratulations are certainly due to Cavi. Truly a great accomplishment for an aggresive make it happen type player.

    Congrats to Mike and the entire Cavi family. Mike is a joy to watch and a lot more fun to play with than against. Look forward to the summer playing with him.
    By the way, what are you going to do with all of those bases? That's enough for 35 fields with an extra base. He needs to steal 2 more to get an even set. You should then consider donating those things to charity.......[​IMG]

    Boy Cavi is fun to watch. His first two steps make me want to get up and hollar. I saw him swipe another base tonight. I'm glad he has the record. However, Braves never told me they had a three foot mound over there. And don't get me started on all that foul ground, I thought the old Coliseum in Oakland had a lot of play. But, back to Cavi: he is consistent, just like @ State Games.
