No..South never played Indy during the season. You are right about Hopewell. and you are right about back-back-back...(Porter, Rosenbaum, Pierce). Nobody can match that

Baseballman- How about filling me in on Scotland? I know a little bit about them. Isn't that where Parker Bangs attends?

    Scotland is loaded, but

you better get them this year as they start eight juniors including the entire pitching staff. Top pitcher is Lee Oxendine who is about 85/86 with good control. They have three or four other very good arms (LHP Lowry, RHP Patterson, all mid eighties) plus Bangs who is upper eighties. Bangs doesn't pitch that much and I think its because they need him so bad behind the plate. Forget running on him. Offensively, they have real tough outs up and down their lineup. Power comes from Bangs and Wm Sunderland who hit 3 and 4. First two hitters can spray it all over the yard and can really run. All in all, a really tough team who I believe will be odds on favorite next year.

I like NF a lot. They are extremely talented. However, if they face Bray of Indy or White of Hopewell, there is no telling....and you have to factor in Coltrane of Indy. He can win games on his coaching ability.

But if forced to bet, I'd go with North

One question I have is why Addison Johnson has not pitched much?

    Predictions

I like Wakefield out of the East and N. Meck out of the West. What a fun series that would be to watch with the pitching staffs that both teams march out to the mound. With that said, I would not be surprised if Wakefield lost in their 1st round against New Bern. In the playoffs, one "outstanding pitcher" can create havoc and I believe Adam Warren certainly qualifies for the label "outstanding pitcher." A lot of fun, laughter, disappointment and tears are sure to be shed over the next few weeks.

    It's like...

take any of them! Pitching OBVIOUSLY the key AS WEELLLL AS great consistent defense! Yet the biggest and always the intangible is CHEMISTRY and teams that Live and play as WE not I;s watch how it all comes out in the end and you ll see just ask their coach when it is over! :0 My 2 cents for what it s worth...

    SM/PHS/INDY/NM

PHS played NMeck and INDY early, losing 3-0 to NM and beating INDY 12-5. SM and PHS have played two tight games, with SMeck winning both (on PHS errors). SM won @ PHS 5-3 in 10-innings and just the other night SM eked past PHS @ SM, 3-2 in 8-innings. Pitching will be the KEY going forward and as much as I'm rooting for PHS, I don't see how they can compete with SMeck and NMeck on the mound. Besselievre and Hendel have been Fantastic and are probably Co-MVPs for Providence, BUT then "It's Pray for Rain". Their combined ERA is ~ 1.00.
