Ragsdale moves into tomorrow night's final with a 3-0 shutout of 2nd seed and host team Southeast Guilford. Jake Kensmoe pitched a complete game and Ragsdale scored 3 in the top of the seventh on JP Polchinski's RBI double and soph. Jason Wallace's 2 run homer.

Ragsdale also won their first round game beating Asheboro 8-3. Ragsdale is now 20-6 on the season and will likely face Eastern Randolph in the final who beat HP Central 15-0 Monday night and play fourth seed SW Randolph tonight.

Not sure if I can make the game tomorrow night but if I do I'll post a game report.

Good to see Polchinski in the lineup and getting big hits. He is the soul of the team at third base and I wasn't sure how fast he would come back disolocating his knee last week swinging at a pitch in the E Randolph game.

I wonder how much that hurts? :1peekdoor

    PAC-6 Tournament Results

    Person 7, Riverside 0

    RIV-000 000 0 -- 0 5 2
    PER-010 222 x -- 7 10 0

    WP - Jerrod Moore 3-2 (CG, 0 Runs, 5 Hits, 4 K's, 2BB, Perfect Game through 3, NO-NO through 4)
    LP - Matt Toffaletti

    Leading Hitters:

RIV- Barrett Stover (2-4), Jason Duncan (2-3), Jacob Ezzell (1-3)
    PER- Jacob Newton (2-3, 2B, 3 runs), Travis Brooks (2-4, 2B, 2 RBI's, 3 runs), Blaine Newton (2-4), Jerrod Moore (2-4, run), Chase Abel (1-2), Robbie Byrd (1-4, 2B)

Jerrod Moore (JR/RHP) pitched a heckuva game for the Rockets, the defense was stellar as the Rockets turned 2 DP's and shut out a good hitting Riverside team. Aaron Campbell and Marcus Penick also had SAC flies to drive in runs for hte Rockets who barring an upset will play Chapel Hill in the Championship game of the PAC-6 Tournament Thursday night at Jordan. CHHS was leading Jordan 6-1 late in the game the last I heard. I will report that score some time Wednesday.

    Lee Co. 6 Cary 5 (8)

Lee County advances to the semi's and will face top seed Green Hope today who they split with in the reg. season. Freshman pitcher Zach Furl only lasted 3Inn, giving up 5R on 6H. He was relieved by Jacket teammate J.B. Brewer [So.] who pitched 5 shutout innings. He gave up only 1 hit, 1 free pass and fanned five. The third baseman for Cary had a rough time helping the Yellow Jackets with three costly errors. Coach Spivey said "You're always pleased with kids who prepare and then do what they practiced. We had a good scouting report on Townsend. We wanted to stay back, stay behind the ball and hit it to the backside. We did that very well tonight."

    Wakefield Errors

Did I read the paper right this morning that Wakefield commited 14 errors in a game yesterday? Doesn't sound like the #2 team in the state.
