Since the season is now over for most HS teams, it is time to look ahead as all good Cubs fans do knowing a new season gives new hope. Based on returning varsity players
(especially pitching) and those coming up from JVs, who will be strong on 06 ?

You could make a strong case for South Caldwell for the next two years. The '07 class is loaded with talent.

I agree. SC has all their pitching returning and pitching is their strength.
    They will have Bumgarner,Gragg,Poovey,Messer,Coffee...
They only have six seniors but losing Casey Justice will hurt their offense.
On the other hand the JVs killed the ball, so help is on the way.

With that being said, AC Reynolds looks even stronger in the NW4A, losing only one senior, their 2b. Howell and Runion gives them the best 1-2 starting tandem in the conference and they have Paeplow and Ian Haley backing them up. ACR also had an excellent JV team. The biggest problem for ACR is finding room for all their players.

Watauga loses only 4 seniors, but will probably also lose another player who is moving. Unfortunately their pitching will take a big hit with #2,#3 & #4 departing. The good news is that ace lefty,Ryan Anderson returns and they have some good prospects coming up from JV. All the season-ending position players return except SS Heath Holder, from an already excellent defensive team.
The offense should be vastly improved with another year of weight training and practice under their belts.
