    Amanda, 3rd baseman for Southern Alamance (& on last year's 3A State Championship Team) was in terrible wreck this a.m. on way home from Burlington's "Relay for Life" Fundraiser. If you have a prayer list, put her on it. It's quite serious but don't know many details. She has been flown to UNC Hospital for treatment. Thoughts and prayers to her, her family, and all of Southern Alamance community.

    Update on Amanda 5/16

    This is all hearsay as I've not talked to family directly since late yesterday...
    She's still at UNC ICU and apparently will be for awhile. She is talking now and has shown some movement with left side extremeties. Still other serious issues that only time will tell... all the support is appreciated!!
