That may be Wilson Boyd that signed with Clemson. It was kind of confusing the way the Independent-Tribune reported it. (Both he and Boliek look good enough to play ACC ball).

Help me here Hickory fans.

Don't know about Boliek's college plans - but Will Boyd is a Clemson signee. He plays great defense in the outfield, swings an awesome bat and pitches as well when needed.

Boliek, Gibbs and Baker are all Sophomores.

Hickory's starters include 4 Seniors, 2 Juniors and 3 Sophomores.

Does anyone know where Boyd played Fall ball last season?? I saw a Clemson prospect playing for the showcase team Carolina Clippers and this kid could flat out tattoo the ball. :thud:

Boliek is a sophomore so he has no college plans. He is the best hitter on that HHS team. Boyd is a senior and has signed with Clemson.

It WAS an awesome game. Heroes were Tyler Propst with a 2 RBI triple to tie the game and Issac Harrow with a 3-run homer to win it.

One of the Faggart boys hit a grand slam to give NW a 5-0 lead. But the tornadoes chipped away. Propst came thru in the clutch with a 2 RBI triple. Harrow won it with a 3-run HR.
