    Mike Briggs replaces Joe Shephard as head coach of Ashbrook and Greg Lloyd replaces Mark Latham as East Gaston's head coach!

    One assistant from the new Porter Ridge in Union Co. left saying "no talent". What did he expect?

    J.M. Robinson's new coach

    Bobby Cloninger is the new head football coach at Robinson. He coached Mt. Pleasant from 1984-1988, and at Monroe the last nine seasons. He has a tough job ahead as Robinson enters the 4A ranks in 2005. Robinson will be in the MECA-6 conference with Central Cabarrus, West Charlotte, North Meck., Vance, and Hopewell.

    Also noticed that Robinson has a new AD in Mark Driscoll.

    Charlie Groves resigned from Lee Co. yesterday.

    Southern Lee, a new school to open in Aug. still has a vacancy also.

    Yadkin-Pee Dee Region Coaching Changes

    Pinecrest had a coach, but he resigned in late May due to personal reasons, so it's back to square one for the Pats.

    East Montgomery head coach Ted Harman resigned in late April. No replacement named yet.

    South Stanly hired Mike Shatzer as head coach. Shatzer replaces Jeff Lamb, who was interim coach following Kerry Billingsley's late resignation last June.

    Johnny Sowell was named head coach at Monroe High School, filling the vacancy created when Bobby Cloninger left for J.M. Robinson.
