Coach Hignight does not release Individual Stats, but I know the TEAM was close to setting a North Carolina Record for Team Batting Average. The TEAM hit .398 on the Season. If they didn't have to face that South Meck Pitching, they would have bettered the .403 State Record.

I know Cory Dunning, Dane Arneson and Austin Stpehenson finished over .400. The only PHS player I kept Stats on was Keith Mauney Jr. It's unofficial, but I am a tough scorer. Junior finished at .395 w 10-2Bs, 4-HRs, 28-RBIs, .684 Slugging.

The team finished 25-5, with LOSSES to SMeck (3), NMeck (1) and NW Cabarrus (1). WHAT A YEAR!!

SS/P Seth Stringfield...West Meck (4A), Sr. (Southeastern CC signee)

After playing for a team that in my eyes didn't play to their potential, Seth is a true leader and put up the stats to prove it.

On the season he had 35 hits (not too sure, but I know it was in around there), and he batted .480. His batting average was over .500 until the last week of the season. Also, on the mound he was a warrior. After getting shotgunned right in the kneecap by a line drive against Hopewell, Seth went back out on the field in 2 games, and played his heart out.

He's also great in the field, committing only 2 errors all year.

Of the North Meck team Alan Parks, Zach Rosenbaum, Tom Porter, Mike Cavasinni, John Kellet, and Damian Mazzetti were all conference unanimous selections. Everyone of them deserves an all state selection.
