    Future Tiger outfield

The Tigers have quite a group outfielders for the future:

Wil Boyd, DJ Mitchell and Addison Johnson.

    Congrats to Greg

I had the chance to tell all three of you (Dad, Mom & Greg) congrats in person over the weekend, but let me just add that is always good to see one of the nice guys, as well as a hardworker and great competitor - get what he so deserves. Lenoir Rhyne has inherited a great player as well as an awesome family. Hats off to all of you!! :woohoo:

I spoke with Greg and his Dad last night. What a great coup for L-R and Coach Pait. Lenoir Rhyne has had a great recruting class this year and with pitching coach John Hendricks returning for his second year, Greg will get great instructions with his development. Greg has a pretty good bat, also.

Good luck to Greg.....and good luck to the Bears!!!!!

ps-- despite prior reports, I'd like to submit that I had a great conversation with Greg last night.

Way to go Tyler ... but here is some MORE bad news for Virginia Tech.

According to Baseball America (I haven't seen anything in the paper),

Houston Summers, 47th round pick and formerly Virginia Tech bound has also signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Tyler Leach is off to Rookie ball in Tennessee.

Brad Matthews, 48th round pick from Wallace State J C and NC has signed with Tampa Bay.

    Cameron Maybin is still negotiating.
