Good luck 18u Carolina Comets this weekend in Stateville. I hope they do very good. Do your best and there will be no reason you can't go far this weekend in Stateville. I will be there to cheer on My friend Nathan who coaches and the Girls. So put on a good show for me.

I'll be with the Carolina Cardinals (versus the Cobras at 11:30 on F2). I know this can't be Morgan Peeler's Cobra team, because they are playing in Rock Hill, NSA's 14U State tournament.

Does anyone have information on the 18U Cobra team? Where they are out of?

Looking forward to seeing some old friends and the 18U NC Lady Cardinals play, at Statesville, this weekend.

Lady Blues 12U won the class B states this weekend, 14U finished fourth in State tournament, and the 16U playing for only the second time, finished second to the Craze in the super NIT. The Blues played from 8:30 am till around 8:15 pm straight, after falling apart against the Dazzle in an early morning game. We did manage to come back and beat the Craze in the first game of championship but kids gave out. Pretty good tournament run by Randy Blesdoe. Good hitting Craze team, some power in that line-up.

    18U NSA tournament past weekend

18U Carolina Cardinals (McHone), placed 1st, out of seven teams, at Statesville, this past weekend. Good tournament held by Randy Blesoe (NSA).

Carolina Predators came from behind, in the championship game, and beat the Cardinals 3-2, in the bottom of seventh inning. But the Cardinals came back, in the IF game, and won in the bottom of the seventh, 1-0. Close games. Amy Vogal (N. Wilkes), drove in the winning run, for the Cardinals. Great pitching by Kayla Richardson (Ashe County/Applach.St), Amber Shore (Starmount/WinstonSalemSt) and Amanda Dodson (SStokesHS).
Good solid hitting from Beth Hauser (N. Surry/Western Carolina), Amanda Dodson (SStokesHS), Heather Brock (ForbushHS), Caroline Wood (ForbushHS), Amber Shore (Starmount/Winston SalemSt) and Kayla Richardson (Ashe County/ApplachSt).

Carolina Predators have some very good pitchers (lots of movement, great mixture of pitches). Carolina Predators are well coached and have hard-working players from the Triad area.

    NSA State tour.

Wanted to say congrats to all the winners in the NSA State this past weekend!I also want to tell the Carolina Cobras that they played their hearts out, only to have POOR officiating take the championship game away from them. The Cobras lost their 1st game,& that is on them. But they battled all the way back to champ game,& that is a task in itself. The parents are very proud of them!NSA has got to do something about their officiating,is very bad. There were 2 umps in champ game, when most sanctions have 3 in this game.I know it is a silent code that 1 does not override the other, as it makes them look bad,but it just infuriates me that an ump can decide the outcome of a close game.Howard Edwards needs to get off his TIGHT ASS,& pay the extra money for the 3rd ump.Enough said,I hope ASA has better officials, cause that's where we'll be next yr. :crap:
