    If the standings remain the same...

    sounds like the first round area IV matchups would be:

    E1 Pineville vs W8 Hickory
    W4 Rutherford Co. vs E5 Denver

    W2 Shelby vs E7 Steele Creek
    E3 Charlotte vs W6 Henderson Co.

    W3 Lake Norman vs E6 Huntersville
    E2 Cherryville vs W7 Asheville

    E4 Gaston Co. vs W5 Taylorsville
    W1 Caldwell Co. vs E8 Gastonia

    SwampFox -- the standings that get distributed show Henderson as being 7-8 and 7-9 overall, which makes sese because the schedule only shows them with two games left. Those standings also have McDowell at 2-11. Can you double check your source?

    The Area IV Eastern and Western final standings will be reported the night of Wednesday, 6/29, I believe, or very early on the morning of Thursday, 6/30, I believe then...the Area IV play-offs will most likely start the very next day, again, I believe?!?

    Looking at Caldwell Co. standings they have played 12 division games and have 5 scheduled games left. Is there a division team they dont play twice?

    According to the information our guys received, the first round of the area IV playoffs wil be played July 2-5.

    Hey Moose..

    The final game of the year for Caldwell is a DH because of a rainout last weekend. They play 2 7-Inning games versus Rutherford on Wednesday. So with the victory tonight, Caldwell is 12-1 with 1 game left versus Hickory, Taylorsville, Burke and 2 against Rutherford.

    Pineville..............10-3
    Cherryville...........9-4
    Charlotte............9-5
    Gaston County.....8-6
    Denver...............9-7
    Huntersville.........5-8
    Steele Creek.......4-9
    Gastonia............4-10
    Kings Mountain....3-10

    Note: Kings Mtn. had to forfeit four games (two to Steele Creek and one each to Gastonia and Denver) due to an ineligible player.

    Note: #9 team is out of play-offs as the top 8 play best 3 of 5 series starting probably July 2-5.
