Of course everyone cannot make it. It is a very limited number of players, but
unless you know the stats for every player on the roster or saw most of their
games, I am not sure it is fair to say that some do not belong.

So true...I did one this year for NCPreps.com and listed about 30 or so in all classes except ....4A had 70 players and I still left some out....but still with 9 players per team and almost 400 teams in all classes together...you have to pick alot of players...Did anyone see my All-State teams?

I was told by a couple of high school coaches when the nominations were sent in that they were given this time frame and it was done at the end of May. It was supposedly done at the same time last year, but it was released on June 20th. I know the players that were present at the East-West and State Games who made the rosters were given their certificates after the first East-West game, but they did not announce the others that were not present. I believe this was about a month ago. I don't know what the delay in releasing it to the press was.

Did you pick the NCPREPS All-State teams? 4A and 3A both have more than 70 players listed...

    all state

High school coaches are sent a nomination form usually in April. The all-state meeting is the weekend before playoffs begin. Many players are nominated, some deserving and some not. A conference player of the year is an automatic selection. Unfortunately several very deserving players get left off each year because they are not nominated by their coach.
