    This goes way beyond sports. He should be banned from life.

    I hope he gets jail time.

    when i had tball we let everyone play the field and we batted thru the lineup..
    i think the only people who kept score was the parents.

    I agree...

    100000 % I address this issue very concisely and clearly in the book I have written if interested? Just goes too show you at all levels how few they are they are out there and they ADD up unfortunately. Hope he gets jail time! Are we any more civilized than centuries ago? Too sad! :(

    Jerks like this is what gives youth sports a bad name. All the good things done by youth coaches NEVER get printed.

    That's ridiculous. Anyone with a conscious would know that what that man did is wrong, unjust, and blatantly ignorant. At that age the important thing is to make new friendships and determine if the kid wants to progress in the sport. A coach should never take a game into his hands like that, just a lame excuse for selfishness. I hope the little one is doin' alright.

    Let me start by saying if all accounts of this incident are true, then yes he should be banned. But if I read the article right then guys he was accused, not convicted. I am by no means defending any of these despictable actions, So before we start burning someone at the stake, lets follow this and see if the accounts according to the paper are correct.:twocents:

    Get all the facts first before you convict someone

    Go check out the HS baseball web and you will see that when all the facts came in the coach did nothing that he was accused of. The kid was hit with a ball while warming up before the game with a teamate. The mother of the kid hurt had it in for the coach over playing time. Go check out the WHOLE story. What a shame that this coach has had his name smeared and has been convicted without all the facts being told. Another case of reporters wanting a sensational story to be true so they can sell papers without first getting all the facts in. What a shame.
