Copperheads

Mama, hadn't heard about the Copperheads brawl. My son plays for another SCBL team this year, but played for the C'heads two years ago in their first year in the SCBL. It was a positive experience, and Jeff Carter did a great job as GM of the team.

Copperhead Coaches - MAMASLAM

I've known the Copperhead's Head coach for 5 years now and can attest to his character, and knowledge of the game. He is a West Meck graduate, where he left to become an ALL-ACC pitcher at Duke, and then progressed up thru the minors until a back injury cut his career short. He is a devoted person religiously, ethically to the kids he coaches, and is highly regarded by all who know him. Maybe some day you'll have a chance to ask him what really transpired and I'm 100% positive it will be a great answer and a proper baseball coaching decision.

Good pitchers have to throw at batters for a variety of reasons. Good Pitchers don't give up the inside part of the plate and they fully understand that they might hit people on occassion. Good coaches on occassion do things to get thrown out of a game to get their team's attention. Bad Umpires sometimes make the getting thrown out process hard, they won't take control and boot you quick.

I suspect he was just trying to get his kids fired up, it's a long season considering these kids have played alot of ball since February and inspiration comes in different forms at different times.

 

I was sitting at a game 2 days ago and overheard .. well actually it was directed at me, that the Kernersville coach and GM have been thrown out of games also..
Geee...wonder why... i'm sure there is a logical explanation...

No doubt in my mind your exit was a well calculated move, that would justify "Hall of Fame" consideration. Heck all mine were<G>

 

The GM

If the Kernersville fans and players are yelling at the opposing team, the GM is usually the loudest of the whole bunch. You would think he thought he was the GM of the NY Yankees.

 

Well i have not been associated with the Copperheads that long , so i have not seen the Kernersville team.. but i did hear their GM acted like George Steinbrenner.
