North Forsyth's outfield will be flat out awesome with Addison, Stefan, and Dusty out there.

Hey Red, welcome to our world. Forsyth County has a ridiculous transfer policy. We've faced that for the past few years: just when a conference team appears to be down, they get key transfers that changes everything. Not fair.

Easketball example: My son played Reyshawn Terry (now at UNC) one week when he was playing for Glenn High & the next week when he transfered to Reynolds High. 2 teams in one week.

Baseball example: 3 years ago Parkland High's coach resigned. So the stars of a strong team all transfered to 3 other schools. West Forsyth got 2 who plygged big holes & who are now playing in college.

Here is the flip side: I know for a fact that this summer 4 outstanding baseball players have attempted to transfer to North Davidson High School. Let me be clear: None of the 4 were recruited, but they recognized that North has the premier coaching staff in our area & has the nucleus for an extra special team. All 4 were told: No chance. We don't play those games. Your parents must move into the district.

North will be still be strong next season, but with these 4 they would have been (imho) the CPC favorites & a threat to win the 4A title. 2 of the kids were key members of Lexington Post 8's Legion team that finished 2nd to Pitt.

    06 players to watch

Let's look at some players a little further east:

-Matt Brown, a LHP out of Smithfield-Selma is sneaky good. He pitches smart and has great command of the fast ball, breaking ball, and change-up....his slider is getting better everyday! He tops out around 82-83. Matt REALLY turned some heads last weekend at UNC (Impact Games).....gave up one hit and struck out 6 in 3 IP. Also pitched well for Region 3 at the State Games. Great composure on the hill and shows little emotion. He's got a great future ahead! He'll play for the Dirtbags this fall.
-Chris Archer of Clayton High can flat out bring it! He tops out around 91 and has a nasty slider. I think he has committed to NC State. What else can you say?!?
-Zach Johnson, a teammate of Matt's at SSS has seen his stock rise quite a bit this summer. He can effectively play all 3 IF positions (which has definitely made him more marketable) and with his arm strength and speed (6.9-7.1) could be moved to RF. Has good lateral movement, great hands and a strong accurate arm. Averages about .375 at the plate....not known as a power hitter in HS, but hit 4 or 5 HR's in Legion and hit a bomb at NCSU while playing for Region 3 in the State Games. Very coachable and hard-working!
-Grimes Medlin out of South Johnston is a tall lanky LHP who changes speeds as well as anyone out there. He's great at keeping batters guessing. He tops out around 83-84 and he's a SMART pitcher. He doesn't get alot of K's, but he gets outs. He's gonna get a ton of looks this fall and during HS.
-Jonathan McLamb of West Johnston, a rising Junior is one of the best 07's around. Great catcher and actually pitched some lately, quite effectively! He can hit it a ton and he's a great kid. He's going to draw alot of attention real soon!

Glad to have you on board Touch 'em. We need more people from the East to keep us informed of what's going on. Southern No1 and BB9er has two very talented sons out that way and they would love to have some company on TBR.
