John Willard here. My son Adam completed his collegiate career at UNC-Charlotte last spring, finishing 9th on Charlotte's all time batting average list. Through all the highs and lows, it was a wonderful ride!

If I can be of any help, just ask.

I'm Chris Cochran, my son Matt is a catcher at Hopewell H.S. and for the Copperhead 18U team. I started out of college coaching football in New England at the Univ. of Bridgeport and then Western Conn. State college, after which I moved to Davidson College in 1976 and coached there for 3 years.

I left coaching then for financial and family time reasons. Most people understand the hours that coaches put in on the field, but don't see all the time off the field that goes into recruiting, etc.. I played baseball growing up and enjoyed coaching my 2 sons until they reached 14 in the Coul-Oak organization. Over the years I've really enjoyed watching some of the names we see pop up now develop as young men and outstanding players.
Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and varying points of view, I enjoy the discussions of this group immensely and look forward to enjoying Matt's last year in High School.

Ball-dee here. My name is G.C. Trivett. I am the former Turf Manager at M.S. Deal Stadium at Granite Falls Middle School. I also taught there and was Football coach and AD for 26 years. I currently am serving my second term on the Board of Directors of the Sports Turf Managers Association. I represent K-12 Schools from all across the nation. After retiring from teaching, I briefly worked at L.P Frans Stadium as Asst. Turf Manager until heart bypass forced me to give up that position. I really enjoy American Legion Baseball and am one of Caldwell County's biggest fans. I really enjoy TBR.

Thanks for joining up Ball-dee. There was a thread talking about how well you took care of the stadium. It's great to have you contribute

    FYI

Steve Evans, Head Baseball Coach At Person high School in Roxboro for the past 11 years. I have coached in the State Games, and was the coach for the Impact 18U team this summer. I also coached in the Southern Collegiate League in 2002 with the Durham Warriors. First of all, I am a Christian and have been blessed for the opportunities baseball has given me to be around some great young men and players. Enough about me.

    FYI

Kenny May Associate Head Coach South Granville High School Creedmoor NC. Ive been Head Coach , JV Head Coach , Assistant Coach you name it. I coached AAU for several years the Durham Diamonds , Durham Diamondbacks , North Carolina Baseball Academy , North Carolina Aces. I would say that I know the 07 and 08 class in NC as well as anyone from the NC mountains to the coast. Ive either coached them or coached against them at one time or another. I love the game the kids that play the game the way it is supposed to be played. It is my passion. It is my desire to see every kid that has he desire and ability to play the next level do so. Regardless if they play for us or not. I have really enjoyed reading the posts on this site and meeting some of you around the state at showcase events and the like. Ill be like Steve , enough about me. By the way let me just go on record as saying that the 07 and 08 classes in NC will be the strongest group of players that NC has seen in quite awhile. It is absolutely stacked with outstanding pitching. The posistion players and hitters are right there as well.
