    that is a great win for Freedom tonight. I don't think too many expected that. Crest/Burns is no real shock.

    Asheville scored with 3:24 left and HELD on to win as ACR had the ball 1st and 10 at Asheville's 18 and turned it over on downs with 1:00 to go. ACR played a GREAT game (tied at half 6-6, and held Asheville to 4 total yards in the 3rd quarter) and has come a long way from last year. I look for good things this year.

    Congrats to all the rest of the NW4A.....Lookin' good!

    the Freedom HB had 140 plus yards on 29 carrries McGarriery(sp??)

    2A and 4A......great win?? great scheduling for each though!! :five: :imagestor

    Shelby may win the 2A State this year :bananalam

    East Burke scores the first 10 points against Newton,
    Then EB throw an interception which is returned to the 1. Newton scores,
    kicks off and then on the following possesion EB runner gets ball taken out of his arms at the 40 and see ya later, 14-10. Newton adds 10 points to lead at the half 23-10. East then scores 1 in the third and 1 with aboiut 6 min. to go and holds on for dear life. 24-23.I think EB had 4 or 5 turn overs. Can't do that and win.
