    Saturday's results for Carolina Cubs:
    Carloina Cubs 4 - Mid-Atlantic Red Sox 0
    Winning Pitcher - BJ Dail
    Losing Pitcher - Jake Yocum

    Carolina Cubs 11 - On Deck O's 0
    Winning Pitcher - Robby Bray
    Losing Pitcher - Keith Corrigan
Home runs by Jay Honeycutt and Bobby Leeper for the Cubs.

Cubs hit well in both games.

They will play the Tide Water White Sox tomorrow, 3:30 PM at Clark LeClair Stadium. There have been a good number of College Coaches and Major league Scouts at the games this weekend.

    Cubs have looked

really sharp this weekend. Beating the Bayside Yankees was a huge win. Starter for Yankees was flown in from the DR and did not speak English but wow was he a great pitcher. Pitching and great defense kept Cubs in it until the two HR won the game late. Really proud of this bunch.

    Bayside Pitcher

The pitcher for Bayside who pitched against the Carolina Cubs was Ramon Cepeda. I had heard that it was Orlando Cepeda's Grandson. I'm not sure about that but if anyone can confirm or deny it, it would be interesting to know.

    Yes it was

It was Orlandos grandson. The jr Cubs were rained out today at Pitt Community College. I went over to Guy Smith and caught some of the Red Sox and Va Rays game. If anyone here has some info on the Cubs Sr game with the Tidewater White Sox please post it. I understand that Jeffers was going to throw today for Tidewater. The Cubs were going to throw three or four different guys. Should be interesting.

    Cubs 2 Whitesox 0 after 4

Cubs were up 2-0 when I left after 4. Jeffries pitched the first four for the WhiteSox. Scouts had 94-95 in the first. He began to struggle with control in the 2nd, 3rd several walks and a error allowed the Cubs to take a 1-0 lead after 3. Ryan Grapal (Rose, commit to UNC) got the Cubs first hit in the fourth scoring the second run.

Dbacks, sorry I didn't see your post 'til now. Little Cubs played at Pitt CC early Sat. morning so I was there all day. We were called off Sun. morning, and I didn't catch any more of the games. Maybe this weekend at NCSU. Got some purple & orange questions.
